Installing Laminate Wood Flooring Over Vinyl Tile

The short answer is yes you can install laminate flooring over a ceramic tile floor if the tile floor is in good condition and the tile are well attached level and flat.

If you decide to install laminate flooring over vinyl flooring remember to first clear the vinyl of any debris and obstacles. Most wood flooring installed on concrete are glued type installations while others are floated. You can lay laminate over tile as long as the tile is in good condition which means no broken or loose pieces. Wide seams between the tiles can create slight depressions in the vinyl flooring. The process would be the same as installing a laminate floor on a concrete slab.
